The latest version of Orcad Pspice 9.2 comes with the following enhancements - 64-bit version is included - 64 bit SPICE kernels are also available in the Orcad library for use with Intel Processor ids 0x5, 0xb, 0xc, and 0xe. Previously, 64 bit SPICE kernels were not included for these processors. This update includes improved capabilities but no performance optimizations for these processors because they generally have lower clock speeds than their 32 bit counterparts. - Data memory has been increased from 32 MB to 96 MB. - The new SPICE Server allows multiple users of the same server to collaborate on a single hardware design. It implements a XML data model that can be used for controlling and retrieving design attributes from the database. - The XSPICE Engine has been updated to handle additional cases involving delays in transmission of time or voltage values. This update includes a variety of improvements for this feature including a better model for the AMD Semaphore Timer, more accurate models for some output devices, and new models for some input boards. - The new SCALE submodule enables you to write your own subroutines to compute the power of different components in an analog circuit. Different algorithms are available for computing power at integer multiples of the resistive value, logarithmic intervals, intervals of a specified tolerance, and the actual value. - A new oradFluid submodule has been added to calculate air flow over a fluid class with time steps based on an underlying fluid flow model. The new submodule uses "Blend times" which are hybrid between standard "Blend seconds" and "Blend elapsed seconds." This means that you can have both discrete discrete calculated values ("second fractions") as well as continuous values ("duration fractions"). The new submodule calculates the time that passes between the beginning of one blend interval to the beginning of another blend interval. - Numerous small enhancements have been included in this release, including an improved algorithm for calculating exergy, various improvements to the support for Pspice kernels running on Linux/Unix, and other bug fixes. Orcad Pspice 9.2 Lite is a smaller version of Orcad Pspice 9.2 intended primarily for people who do not need all of the functionality that is included in Orcad Pspice 9.2 (see section above). It does not contain all of these features; instead it contains only those that are absolutely essential for most users. All of the features in the full-version of Orcad Pspice 9.2 are available in Orcad Pspice 9.2 Lite. The full version is available for $495 and the Lite version is available for $199.
